Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Campaign

Send emails, send SMS, and report tracking analytics. Currently, only being used within the email department that send marketing emails and SMS messages on a daily basis. These emails go out to a wide number of people. Auto daily sending and manual send are implemented. Technical workflow to ensure it all works on the backend.

Pros

  • Anything you think of you can build in with a workflow.
  • Workflows are strings of actions and in the visual editor, you can see how long each action took.
  • Logging actions are very robust.

Cons

  • No line numbers in the source editor and no word wrap in the source editor could improve syntax highlighting in the source editor.
  • Many many many many many windows. In some cases, too many windows open up in order to complete an action and items become buried.
  • Error messages are not detailed.
  • Sequence Ids keep running out. Deadlocking is an issue when running more than one campaign at once.
We were told many things that have not come to fruition during the sales process.
If your client has a LARGE number of recipients, setting up emails can take a long time. If you have more than one campaigns to send at once, you could run into deadlocks. Migrating between Test and Production environments is bulky and not intuitive. If you have a large number of recipients, you could run out of sequence IDs and that could potentially halt your send.
