Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics
I've work with multiple Fortune 500 companies to migrate from Adobe Analytics to Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. CJA helps unlock new insights from a wide variety of datasets and provides unmatched flexibility. New business problems addressed include seeing the full customer journey across marketing touch points and stitched cross platform.
Pros
- Unlocks insights into customer touch points throughout the journey with the brand
- Backfill historical data for quicker time to value
- Flexibility to filter, enhance, and augment data that's collected
Cons
- Stitching adds additional latency delaying real time results
- Needs a true 1:1 replacement for classification rule builder (CJA derived fields only allow 1 regular expression)
- Report-time processing causes some latency in reports populating, especially with complex derived fields
- Ability to quickly, retroactively enhance data without needing to engage development team
- Greater insights into cross platform customer behaviors, giving clearer perspective on carts that were previously assumed to be abandoned
- Ability to backfill from data lake, reducing time to value
Adobe Customer Journey Analytics has much more flexibility and power than AA. Workspace skills port over easily. However, there are some key AA functions that work differently in CJA and teams well entrenched in AA should be aware before switching. These include marketing channel inactivity/look back period, classification rule builder limitations, some dimensions aren't available such as visit number, hit depth, customer loyalty, etc.
