Overall Satisfaction with Adobe PhotoShop
As the Director of Marketing, I am responsible for advertising, website, publications, etc., all things that use photographs. We hire photographers sometimes, but a lot of the time I am taking photos that have to look professional. Sometimes I get lucky and get that perfect shot. There is still editing to be done for the image to pop just a little more. Photoshop is the industry standard and the only tool I use to manipulate my photos. I use the Sharpen Tool on every photograph I take, it brings up the detail just that much more (face and eyes)! The Spot Healing Brush Tool is a must to remove any dust, small objects you want to remove, or if you are taking photographs of people (especially teens) to remove blemishes from the skin. I can't live without Photoshop!
Pros
- As I mentioned in my review, the Sharpen Tool in Photoshop is a must.
- There is a tool for everything in Photoshop. I learn something new everyday!
- Photoshop is one of a whole suite of products that will make you look good!
Cons
- Photoshop is expensive.
- Photoshop has so much functionality it takes a while to discover the use of every tool, but there are a lot of resources to get you started and become an expert.
- Adobe PhotoShop allows me to "make mistakes" when I'm in the field. Being able to edit photographs from the office really helps when I'm in the action.
- Adobe PhotoShop makes it possible to manipulate photos for numerous projects.
- It is easy to batch-size my edited photos in Photoshop for use on social media.
- Photoshop's powerful tools allow me to spend less time in the field.
- Photoshop gives me confidence that if I don't get the right shot, I can make it so.
