Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Workfront

Workfront is used in my department for most web, creative, and cross-team projects. It makes keeping track of work, project status, and next steps easy. It also lets us set up workflows or processes for different projects, so we don't re-invent the wheel each time - we can just do the same system that worked before.

Pros

  • Organizing everyone's work
  • Adding visibility to everyone's work
  • Supporting robust customizations

Cons

  • Having tasks/projects without a due date (if it is in a backlog or prioritization queue).
  • Navigating can be a little complicated - it is robust, but sometimes a bit of navigating to get to the right area.
  • Creative/design comments - ability to add comments directly to designs, for faster collaboration.
  • Workflow processes - ability to set up a process and have it automated. For example, when task 1 is complete, the assignee for task 2 gets notified to start their task.
  • Allowed us to be more efficient, and spend less time managing tasks so we can focus on work.
Workfront is more robust and versatile than Asana and Smartsheets, which is why we did not go with those tools. It is pretty comparable to Wrike in many ways. We use Workfront over Wrike because we are set up in Workfront already.

In my experience, Workfront is a really robust and useful tool. It is not my personal favorite because it did not support tasks/projects that did not have a date associated with them, and it required a bit of navigation work to get around. That being said, it is a good tool. It does great at keeping projects organized, keeping team members on track and collaborating, commenting on tasks or work (ie. images/designs).
