Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We are currently on version 2.1 of Workforce Now and use the HRB and Payroll platforms across our US locations. We are migrating to version 8 or 9 sometime in early 2016. We utilize many features from the Payroll and HRB processes that allows us to have access to our employees records in one place. By having an integration file we only have to key an employee in once.

Pros

  • Houses all data in one centralized location. We are not doing multiple key entries for new hires.
  • Connects all company codes within one database. Prior versions were not user friendly for multiple company codes. Workforce Now allows you to see all employees across the organization without having to change company codes.
  • Special reporting. We do GL Interface and 401k downloading for our reports that we need to process and the capabilities of the custom reporting have been crucial in keeping our workflow smooth and effortless.

Cons

  • Some of the functionality of browsers is my biggest issue right now. I can't export or download things from IE but can from Google Chrome but in a different format. I like the way IE prints but don't like the way Google Chrome does. It all depends on your version and what versions ADP is up to now that allows for better usage.
  • We use a very old version of Workforce Now so until we migrate to the newest some of my selections for improvement are null as they are migrating all customers to the new platform.
As my experience has taught me, you should be questioning everything when it comes to your own needs and specifications. With that being said, ADP does payroll very well and we are very happy with the Workforce Now product and are looking forward to the migration where we will be able to see how the functionality of certain aspects help or hurt our current situation. The Workforce Now version 2.1 is ok, there are a lot of unused fields that we do not take advantage of and that is based on the initial use of Workforce Now as only a payroll processor since we were originally on PCPW and only converted 5 years ago to Workforce Now so we are still learning and questioning many different fields.
