Overall Satisfaction with Apollo.io

Apollo.io is used primarily for email / LinkedIn campaign sequencing. We use the Tasks section of the web platform on a daily-basis to follow up with our contacts. The Apollo.io web extension is useful for adding folks to sequences via LinkedIn profiles. The extension is also useful to us for basic account research.

Pros

  • Sequencing
  • Providing contact information (email and phone #)
  • List creation

Cons

  • Web app clunkiness (slow at times)
  • User experience (little things, i.e. making the email window larger)
  • Increase in booked meetings
  • Increase in on-time follow up messages
Apollo.io has done a nice job sourcing contact information for our company, but we tend to create white-glove messages for most of our prospects. However, the automated sequences have been helpful for our Tier 2 & 3 prospects that we would still like to touch.
Apollo.io has saved us time for following up on inbound demo requests. Automated emails via an Apollo.io sequence have been the solution to this.
Apollo.io has great features, but the constant application updates make the app hard to use at times. Almost weekly I need to re-learn how to navigate to a certain features of the app. The web extension also slows down webpages I am on, which negatively impacts my productivity. Overall, Apollo.io does lead to a net positive, but the team does have things to improve upon.

Apollo.io is well suited for finding contact information (email & phone number) as well as a way to organize email / LinkedIn campaigns. The 'Tasks' feature of the application is something I use daily to keep myself up to date on follow ups. I have found there to be better applications for prospecting into accounts. I don't use the "Lists" feature much, as I find the user experience to be better on other applications.
