Overall Satisfaction with Appian

The online community is really awesome and a great place to discuss any issues that you may have. People are willing to help others.
I am the head of a development team that is working on a project that does data processing for users in the hotel industry. The work of Appian is concentrated mainly in the IT department where it is being used to review data by various stakeholders. Data such as inventory counts is collected, processed and an automatic quote is then generated which is then provided to the stake holders, where they are allowed to either accept or reject the quotations provided.
  • Ease of use. Everything is very intuitive to use and develop.
  • There is some great online support, with people willing to help.
  • Big workflows are sometimes harder to manage
  • Debugging an issue sometimes challenging
  • Before, everything was done manually. Which took a lot of time and brought things to a halt further down the pipeline. Introducing appian really streamlined the entire process and brought the costs down.

Appian is well suited in a place where you would want to automate a process and would like to have something done in a work flow. It is well suited for us because once we have a data available we require a group of people to check and approve it before additional orders are placed.
