In our organization Appian is used by multiple business units. We use as business workflow management tool to ensure that contractual agreements are met on time with audibility. This tool also helps us to identify the gap in process and resources. Appian mobile app is very big advantage where user can perform their task or work remotely without carrying any other gadget (like laptop, notebook).
- Low-code drag-and-drop functionality help with easy development. Appian code development it so easy that anyone from any field/background can become an expert & Appian lead designer.
- Simple and easy software lifecycle management or upgrade. No rocket science.
- Appian is with feature-rich, continually improving and staying with or ahead with industry trend that makes them the best BPM tool.
- Vendor (Appian team) is very responsive, alway looking for opportunities, makes an excellent product with excellent team.
- Reporting: Appian has some limitation with reporting. Enriching reporting capabilities will make an excellent tool.
- Pricing: Pricing structure requires to understand clearly. It can be challenging, ensure you have those conversations early and know no what your limits are.
- One thumb rule "if you don't ask you don't get it."
- Customer Premise installation: Due to any issue(s), if Appian engine crashes and have an outage, you have to rely on Appian support to restore the environment.
- Data crunching and analytic: Introducing data crunching and analytics module/functioanlity will make Appian one shop tool for small to medium business.
- In our regional, less supply of Appian expert resources available in the market drives the business cost higher.
