Overall Satisfaction with Appian

Information on the product and the support plans are very detailed. Also the people involved in the support are very helpful.
It keeps getting better! New releases every quarter keep the rich functionality getting even better and the ideas for further improvement just keep coming.
Appian is deployed extensively across our organization. We integrate heavily in to over 40 different systems to drive various types of work to the end users. Work varies from post classification (integrating in to Kofax) to Complaints Case Management. All processes ensure the colleague and customer journey are monitored for further opportunities for optimization.

Appian has helped us navigate not only a very heavily regulated industry but also provides us with opportunities to scale quickly in a rapidly growing organization.
  • Records - fantastic way of articulating the organizational entities, and if you can be clever about it - drive workflow to expose these entities.
  • Cloud - while we are on premise customers I have had the opportunity to experience the cloud environment. This is exceptionally powerful and scalable.
  • Design Environment - fantastic place to “work”, building applications and designing processes is a pleasure.
  • Training - probably growing pains but they seem light in the training area for the UK. The people we engage with on training are fantastic however, I suppose they could be a bit more forward with informing regarding training. We have to do a lot of the chasing.
  • Positive - through implementing a process improvement methodology you can easily identify areas for a positive impact on ROI. For example, we focus on the colleague and customer journey and through several iterations we can ensure that a process can be delivered end to end in very quick timeframes.
Appian is a Swiss Army knife of process implementation. There are very few use cases it can't be used for. Yes, appropriateness may need to be reviewed in certain contexts but the beauty is in its flexibility. There are very few instances I haven’t been able to think of a place for it!
