Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I use Articulate 360 to create eLearning courses for my team and other teams that I support. I create global training for 80+ sites and also support the creation of training for global processes. Some of the business problems that Articulate 360 addresses is that it is easy for new training leads at sites to develop their own training without having a lot of experience using eLearning development software.

Pros

  • Easy to move content around by saving chunks as blocks
  • Quick for beginners to learn
  • Has some templates to get you started

Cons

  • Undo feature - only lasts a few seconds, would be nice if it functioned similar to other applications like MS Word.
  • Sometimes it is difficult to move around the order of items in process steps. Recently I created 5 steps out of order and I could not move #1 to the top of the list - I had to recreate the whole block.
  • Flip card grid - have the ability to have more than 3 in a row.
  • More accessible course creation for beginning developers
  • Reduced time to develop courses by using an existing template
I frequently use Review and Storyline. Review is fantastic for collecting stakeholder feedback, it's easy to link a reviewer's comments to a particular section of the course. It's also handy that you can see all of your course revision history, so you can keep track of versions. Storyline is a bit difficult to get used to at first, but it has the ability to have a more customized look and feel. Sometimes learners get scroll weary from the Articulate 360 layout, so Storyline alleviates this and lets learners feel like they are getting a more custom and interactive experience.
AI assistant is great for creating training based on general topics. Course design is faster, particularly the hunt for relevant images to include in your course. You can also create images instead of draw from an image bank. Other benefits include reduced editing time from lack of flow or typos / awkward language.
All features are easy to use, but sometimes features "stick" - meaning I should be able to drag and drop something but I can't, which means I need to recreate the block.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I think Articulate 360 is well suited for simple eLearning that is introducing a learner to a concept, i.e. new hire onboarding. It is a bit limited when you need to design engaging content, i.e. job specific training where learners need to practice a particular skill or set of steps.
