Articulate 360 Excels
Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
I am an instructional designer and talent development program manager for a global corporation specializing in facilities management and workplace experience services. I use Articulate 360 to develop custom training related to our services and products.
Pros
- PowerPoint-style interface is user-friendly
- Vast ability to customize training for branding, style, etc.
- Course reviews, edits, and exports
Cons
- PowerPoint-style interface can also be limiting
- Lacking in pre-built interactions in Storyline
- Rise UI leaves some end-users wondering what to do next
- Decreased costs for training creation
- Ability to PM across org when creating courses saves time
I am very well-versed in Storyline, having used it to create an in-depth suite of courses related to a specific product; I have used Rise but to a more limited extent as our end-users have voiced a distaste for the scrolling nature of the UI, plus the inability to apply auto-playing VO; I am learning more about Reach, but have engaged in demonstrations with my colleagues.
Articulate 360 excels thanks to a more open approach, though this is also a setback as it will take less experienced designers more time and effort to create some specific elements (such as interactions).
