Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

I use Articulate 360 Storyline to design training courses, micro-learning, and informational learning. The business problems are mainly a need for the course design in a short amount of time that can easily be uploaded to our LMS. The project is usually based on a technology implementation or an update to current technology training.

Pros

  • The software is amazing, seamless, and better than any other authoring tool I've ever used.
  • The product offers many different solutions in one and having access to all at one price is amazing.
  • I love the Learning Heroes community for questions and quick trouble-shooting. The contributors are well-informed.
  • The training that is offered to users is great and I love that it is all included in the cost!

Cons

  • AI-Generated videos would be awesome. The characters are great but they can be a bit stall after a lot of use.
  • The scenario tool is great, but the options seem to move around making the answer incorrect. It could be user error for sure, but it doesn't save me as much time as I'd like.
  • Review360 is great! If I could change the feedback due date for each person, l that would be awesome instead of having to keep the same due date for all.
  • Articulate 360 has definitely helped with the cost of training development. WE no longer need to look externally or course designers unless we have a large project.
  • It has drastically reduced the development time over the years with all of the great enhancements.
  • Articulate 360 has made collaboration and training reviews a lot easier. I love using Review360 for SME reviews.
I mainly use Articulate 360 and Rise when I am combining apps. I use Storyline to create custom, interactive blocks. Coming both apps saves me time versus creating 100% of the project in Storyline. I also use Storyline to create open-ended questions and I then add them in as a block in my Rise courses. Rise is my go to for course design! It' so easy and fast. It reduces the risk of trigger malfunctions and the time it takes to test courses before they go into the LMS, which I love! It's definitely worth the costs for the whole team. There's nothing else like it.
I haven't use AI Assistant as much as I would like, but from what I have seen and tried. It is great! The team at Articulate 360 do a great job of training and showcasing their product enhancements and I plan to set aside more time to engage in learning how to use it effectively. AI is only as good the the information you feed it!
I think it is very pleasing to the eye and somewhat easy to use. Storyline is the most robust, but I think it has a place. I use it for more complex projects and to create custom interactions. Rise is easy and great! I think it is easy for anyone to use and I love that bother are offered in the suite, so team members that have a preference can collaborate seamlessly without having to incorporate any other technology.
I have accounts for Camtasia, Vyond, and Synthesia, but I go to Articulate 360 for 90% of the projects I work on because it can do all of the things and with less steps! The other poducts are great, but I find myself piece-milling a lot when I use those. use the others specifically for the video design, which Articulate 360 cannot do...yet! Once that functionality is available, I'll probably let go of the others.

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

Articulate 360 is well-suited for all projects - soft skills training, technology training, etc. except those that are asking for videos. I tend to create these in another software and then incorporate them in as I go. It can be time consuming if updates are needed for the video. It is also less appropriate for converting live activities and interactions into activities. The knowledge checks and interactive blocks are great, but they can be limiting. For instances, I had to take a instructor-led activity and turn it into a activity block. The activity asked for open-ended feedback. The knowledge check functionality requires a correct/incorrect answer and with this situation, there wasn't one. I was able to work around it using a Storyline block, but that took more time and required me create in two different tools. It would've been ideal to have the ability built into the block functionality.
