Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

We use Articulate 360 for eLearnings that cover a wide variety of topics from specific compliance to soft skills training. We use both Storyline and Rise for the development of these courses and really like how easy it is to send our courses for review to our SMEs. One feature we started using more are the 360 images.

Pros

  • Ease of use
  • Nice user interface that looks similar to PowerPoint
  • Huge asset library

Cons

  • 360 image activity customization (pop ups)
  • More freedom to add your own icons for markers
  • Functionality with different devices
  • Rise has allowed for more rapid development of courses
  • Storyline is very flexible if you know how to use it, you can create really cool things with Storyline
  • The ability to measure ROI is available to us now because we didn't have any LMS or course creation tool prior to using Articulate 360
I have never used Reach but have experience with Rise, Storyline, and the brief trial period of the AI assistant. We started developing exclusively in Storyline but had received feedback that some of the content felt "old" so we started developing in Rise. We now develop the full courses in Rise and use Storyline embed blocks to feature content that is not possible to be created in Rise.
I LOVE AI assistant and really love how easy it is to create content quickly. The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to (in Rise) swap out different block types, like going from a bullet list to one of the many other options that are a little more interactive. The image generation is fun but we wouldn't use it because it is difficult to get the images to generate in a way that they look like our Corporate style guide.
Storyline specifically has a bit of a learning curve. There are a lot of creative ways to develop your course, but you have to have a good understanding of triggers and variables. It is nice that there are a ton of webinars that help with these features. The UI is the main selling point because it really is similar to PowerPoint.
The user interface is so similar to PowerPoint that it makes it easy to learn how to use the product. Adobe Captivate is ok, but the user interface is challenging to navigate for new users. Adobe Captivate also has an issue right now where they have new features in the "New" version, but you have to still download the old version to access older features.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I honestly cannot think of a situation in my position (developing eLearning) where we wouldn't use Articulate 360. It is something we use to develop all of our eLearnings. We do, however, create videos using an outside program (Vyond), and I don't know how great Articulate 360 is at developing videos in the application. I think for in-person learning, we avoid using it too much and rely more on PowerPoint and outside review systems like Kahoot.
