Articulate 360 Rise Rocks
Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360
I’m Sr Instructional designer for operations, so I create eLearning for warehouse team members and truck drivers (approximately 13,000 learners). We address safety issues, equipment use (forklifts and other powered industrial trucks), dock lock operation, picking, packing, and shipping orders, and parcel van loading and delivery procedures. We create scenarios, micro learnings, etc. with Articulate 360.
Pros
- Easy to share copies of Rise courses
- Mobile responsiveness of Rise courses
- Freeform design in Storyline
Cons
- Articulate 360 Storyline files corrupting randomly
- Can’t add multiple course owners to Rise, just managers/editors who can’t export as SCORM
- Can’t always crop library images in Rise
- Storyline accessibility issues could be easier (closed captioning area, automatically validating contrast)
- Improved time to proficiency among warehouse team members
- Improved employee onboarding experience and content retention among new hires
We only use Articulate 360 Rise, Storyline, and Review— have not dabbled with the others, but Storyline pieces in Rise and reviewed with Articulate 360 Review works really well for us.
We are not able to use AI assistant yet (needs to pass IT tech review)
I think Articulate 360, broadly, has the best SCORM-ready course creation available on the market. Rise itself is a powerhouse and incredibly useful for rapid prototyping and development models, looks clean and is responsive. Storyline, while it offers many more options and customization, can often fail and be clunky to work in. In my opinion, Captivate, of course, doesn’t stand a chance, and any LMS content creation often fails because you can’t export as SCORM.
