Overall Satisfaction with Ascentis HR

They are responsive and we have an assigned person for each module. Although, sometimes it is quicker to resolve issues by going to a generalist and not the assigned customer support person.
We use Ascentis HR to help us eliminate the many spreadsheets that were used to track certain information within the HR department. Additionally, we are looking to reduce the amount of information we keep in paper form. It is being used by the entire organization.
  • Centralized location for HR information - accessible by managers when they need it.
  • Employee Self Service/Manager Self Service - some of the manual functions can be easily managed online.
  • Feed to Payroll - benefits deductions pass to payroll.
  • Integration - there are 3 or more places to log into for different modules.
  • Outdated feeling interface.
  • Benefits Management is only suited for groups of over 100 - does not handle age-banded rating methodologies or complicated contribution models.
  • It has saved us time in Payroll processing each month by using the Payroll and TimeKeeper modules although it has been confusing as these are all separate modules and don't always talk well with each other.
  • Making the reports self-service has cost us time in figuring out how to use the reporting module - ADP used to automatically run reports and end of year balance reports for us.
  • The end of year tax - W2 process was not as smooth as it was with ADP.
We did not have any online capabilities with ADP but we had some "back office" tasks that were much more automated and easier. Overall - dealing with Ascentis HR has been better and easier - we used to spend hours each month on the phone with ADP.
Ascentis HR is well suited to large organizations with simple contribution strategies.
