Overall Satisfaction with Automox

We use Automox as a way to push important updates to workstations and our servers, both physical and virtual, and as a way to remote into workstations. We have over 300 workstations and almost 200 servers so this makes it very convenient to have everything in one place. We have not had any issues so far with using Automox.

Pros

  • pushes updates to workstations
  • keeps track of our current inventory
  • allows us to remote into workstations
  • pushes updates when our laptops have internet access even if they are not onsite.

Cons

  • I wish the remoting in worked a little better. It is pretty laggy when we have had to remote in and help people.
  • I wish we could auto add new computers to automox.
  • I wish the tags were a little more useful.
  • We saved a little money from our old way of pushing updates.
  • This is much easier than the old software we used.
  • Automox is very user friendly and has been great with technical help when we have asked questions.
The biggest difference we saw was that all of our equipment is getting updated in a timely manner. The old system we used was not user friendly at all and we had equipment that was out of date with updates.
It is very user friendly and very easy to setup.

Microsoft 365, SolarWinds Access Rights Manager (ARM)
We have not found an area where Automox is not useful. We use it for pushing updates to our computers and servers in our business. The function to push updates when a laptop has internet access and not necessarily on our local network is great. Ease of use is very nice too.
