Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We use Automox to stay on top of patching for Windows Update and the various applications that are used in our business. This helps address the critical issue of out-of-date software causing cyber security vulnerabilities on our network. Being a law firm, cyber security has become a critical IT issue and Automox helps to automate and streamline the process.
Pros
- A good dashboard to let you quickly get an idea of how your organisation is handling its patching.
- Software and patch searching on individual devices
- Ability to force patching alongside scheduled patching
- Easy to user interface
Cons
- More details when errors occur.
- Automox notification app sometimes gets stuck preparing to restart, users have to restart manually
- Increased efficiency and reduction in IT staff time spent on patching and reminders
- Huge improvement to security posture
While regular users were always able to manage Windows Updates manually, 3rd party patching was never easily manageable. Automox helped to no longer make this an issue that regular users ever had to think about. Huge benefit from everyone being on the same version of a 3rd party app, no longer having to support a variety of versions.
