Overall Satisfaction with Automox
We deployed Automox to manage approximately 100 endpoints across our organization. The IT team primarily uses it for patch management, asset inventory, and remote desktop support. It plays a crucial role in maintaining system security and visibility. Automox is used on a daily basis to support staff efficiently, streamline troubleshooting, ensure all systems remain up to date, and reduce downtime. Its centralized dashboard allows us to proactively manage updates, remotely access user machines, and track hardware/software assets in real-time.
Pros
- Patch Management - The worklets are deployed easily once they are created.
- Asset management - We can quickly see what devices are online and support them quickly.
- Worklets - there are many predefined worklets you can apply to your systems easily
Cons
- Remote Desktop support- Sometimes it takes a long time for a connection to a remote computer, but once connected it works great.
- Autmox patching has become almost a set it and forget it utility for our environment. We have an MSP help with the care and feeding.
- The patching has saved us time in having to instruct the users how to patch their computer or having our 2-person IT team patch them.
After implementing Automox, we have experienced time savings almost immediately. Patches are deployed consistently, making it less error-prone than manual patching. We have improved security through the timely deployment of operating systems and third-party security patches. We transitioned from reactive to proactive measures, and I believe we are now working in a more secure, stable, and efficient environment.
TeamViewer excels in remote support, but lacks in patch management. Automox's patch management is reliable and stable.
