Overall Satisfaction with Auvik

If you're reading this review, you're either lurking network MSP/RMM
services or you are already somewhat interested in Auvik. I'll just tell
you right now that if you have the opportunity to try the service you
should take it. Don't expect to go back to what you thought happiness
was. It's gonna be like that scene in the old Willy Wonka and the
Chocolate Factory movie where they first see that room with all the
candy plants when you get in on this. From a sleek and intuitive WebUI to features that just seem to get more and more robust as you dive deep
and deeper into the service. The on-demand training is provided to
customers free of extra costs (including a free Auvik certification,
which was also a great experience and platform) to get you from zero to
hero as fast as your noodle can process the information. *Violently
stares at other monitoring services that charge copious amounts of money
for training on platforms that already cost an arm and a leg, but are
too complex and clunky to NOT have training*. Auvik's Idea Portal shapes
customer feedback into possible future implementations, Nanook is easily
the best bear on the internet (Yes you are!!), and Auvik's staff has
got to be the coolest bunch of people in Canada - and quite possibly the
world. I personally use Auvik daily for network monitoring and
alerting to my team's Slack channels, producing various reports for the
stakeholders/higher-ups, and remote access from literally anywhere with the internet and a browser. That's just some of the daily things; that does
not include things that Auvik passively does like update topology maps,
back up running configurations, hosting an included Syslog service, and
tracking end-of-life for your devices - to name a few. Auvik takes
literally minutes to set up. You could -without a doubt- sign up for the
trial, and fully deploy Auvik on your network within an hour. I've done
two complete deployments in my time with Auvik. Once was my initial set
up which was assisted by my awesome Rep, and the other was by myself when I accidentally deleted my VM -
it was a rough week. Both times it took under 15 minutes to spin up and
start monitoring. So to wrap this up, I would marry Auvik if I could,
and I feel bad for everyone who still lives in the dark ages with other
providers.

  • Intuitively display complex information
  • Listens to feedback
  • Cares about their customers
  • I have no complaints
  • Network Monitoring
  • Alerting

  • Down time has been reduced from potentially days to hours or even minutes.
  • Time spent building reports, maps, and inventories have reduced significantly.
  • Overall user happiness has significantly increased due to the higher availability of resources.
Auvik is straightforward and easy to configure. Using Auvik is easier to use, easier to look at, and easier to train others on. Although Auvik is slightly more expensive than a few others, the cost is negligible when considering usage and capabilities. With Auvik being an agentless, cloud-hosted monitoring service, the only real overhead is bandwidth for scans and a single VM for the service. Other services required extensive, complex, and pain-staking setup and/or an incredible learning curve.

Do you think Auvik delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Auvik's feature set?

Yes

Did Auvik live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Auvik go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Auvik again?

Yes

Well suited: In all environments that require network monitoring or remote management, primarily in MSPs or organizations with multiple sites. Not well suited: Auvik is network-centric. Don't expect to have a ton of features centered around servers or services running on servers. Although, I would not be surprised if something was added in the future to support this.
