Overall Satisfaction with Avalara
It's used by the tax department, and sometimes I have problems applying the code with the correct tax rate; also, I have trouble reconciling the tax liabilities with current period transactions.
Pros
- It's very easy to use
- The help desk is very knowledgeable and responsive
- Not expensive and very adaptive to other applications
Cons
- Monthly reconciliation with return when applying credits
- Support of e-commerce in the future
- Provide training courses
- Save personnel in tax compliance
- Provide educations to existing accounting staffs
- NetSuite

- AWS
When we use ship to billing while CertCapture is based on billing.
- Avalara Returns

- Professional Services (nexus studies, registrations, backfiling, etc.)
We did benefit from those applications.
I am not an active user of Oracle so nothing to compare.
