Overall Satisfaction with Avatier Identity Management Software Suite
Avatier is being used across multiple divisions within our organization. It helps streamline the process of unlocking or resetting a domain account password. This has significantly decreased call volume to the Service Desk and improved the end-user experience. It is also very secure with multi-factor authentication embedded. I recently worked with Avatier to build custom packages for the PC and Mac platforms to have our website available at the login window so users can unlock themselves from their work laptop if they forget the website address to unlock from a smartphone.
- It greatly improves end-user self serviceability.
- Avatier integrates with multiple AD domains if you are part of a larger organization that is blended.
- Custom packages with your company logo for the login window app make for a very professional touch for a better end-user experience.
- The only issue I have come across is that if a user begins to reset their password, but doesn't remember all of their security questions, sometimes the tool triggers a reset even if they didn't successfully reset themselves. This becomes a problem in an environment that has password complexity requirements, such as not being able to change your password again within a 24 hour period.
- It has saved the Service Desk, as well as on-site support techs, countless hours of work via phone or face-to-face interactions to reset or unlock a domain password, thus saving a large amount of money from the lack of wasted time.
We use NetIQ DRA, so we looked into Identity Manager as well, but it just didn't have the same kind of integration capabilities and security measures that Avatier provided. Ultimately, after using a trial of Identity Manager, we decided it wasn't going to work and opted for Avatier, as it had a long-standing record for excellence.
