Overall Satisfaction with AVI-SPL

AVI-SPL did a large part of the initial construction of some AV areas here at the museum. The business problems that they help us with are our updates, maintenance, and reconfigurations. They worked on lighting, classrooms, board rooms, and audio systems. They helped with digital signage as well. They worked with us on pre-construction startups as well as maintenance.

The helpdesk has been difficult at times but has gotten better. The problems happen when there is new construction and the transition from project to help desk. Definite parameters need to be set, for example, After 30 days, you will be contacting the help desk instead of us directly (project managers).
We have fully remote schedule changers for conference rooms that are also directly connected to Microsoft outlook. The Crestron room schedulers work just fine after 5 years, and we still use them greatly to this day. This scheduling helps us tremendously with scheduling room times for meetings on a daily basis.

AVI-SPL is well suited for initial AV installations. They come out and handle business in a timely and organized manner. The installations are professional and clean. The organization of projects is good as well. The problem lies with aftercare. After installation, it is hard to contact AVI-SPL about issues that are not noticed during sign-offs. Sing-offs are very vast, and some companies do not see everything within the sign-off period.
