Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use BambooHR for our HRIS system and payroll. This is our first HRIS system, and it has made my life in HR so much easier. We can now track changes seamlessly, and payroll is so much easier. We are able to allow employees to update their personal information and access their pay information and leave time.

Usability

BambooHR has been easy for me as a first-time HRIS user. It is clean and straightforward to operate. It has been an excellent upgrade for us. It seamlessly links to our website for job postings, and recruiting/onboarding is now easily tracked and done. BambooHR took us into the correct century in many ways.

Support Rating

The support for the implementation of the platform was beautiful. I've only had a couple of questions since we started about a year ago, and although the response time is quick, it has felt a bit hands-off. For example, we have had an issue with the I-9 form not pulling through correctly. It goes to new employees without all of the correct boxes open for filling out via DocuSign. Necessary boxes like their social security number are not editable for them. The response was to redo the document template, which we have done, but it keeps happening randomly. We still haven't figured out why it is doing this.

BambooHR Reporting

Having demographic, turnover, and other reports at our fingertips has been great! In the past, I've had to do a lot of math to get this information, and HR folks aren't usually known for their math prowess. I certainly fall into that category. These reports make my job easier and make me look good when I can use data to drive business decisions.

Alternatives Considered

Paylocity

BambooHR was a significant cost savings for us compared to Paylocity. As we compared both systems, Paylocity might have a few more bells and whistles, but BambooHR's simplicity and price tag made It a much better fit for us as we transitioned to an HRIS and payroll platform.

I believe BambooHR is well suited for companies that like a simple, easy-to-use platform. As a first-time HRIS user, it has been very easy to implement and utilize. We got great support for implementation, but we have at times felt a little on our own when we've had small issues we've asked for help on. Overall, we are thrilled with the addition of BambooHR to our company tools.
