Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We adopted BambooHR® to manage all of our employee onboarding, performance review and payroll requirements for our medium sized team. We were previously tracking this manually, but as our team grew we needed a software solution to manage it all. We reviewed around 5 different applications and chose BambooHR® as it offered all these features in one and had an easy to use UI.

Usability

Our team have found the UI to be well designed and intuitive to use. The reports have good visualisations and there is typically a logical flow to all of the functionality we use in BambooHR®. The employee onboarding experience in particular has a good user flow which is important for new employees not familiar with our company or processes.

Support Rating

Support is largely self service or via tickets and given we are a smaller account we do find the response times can be slow at times. For most things that is ok but every now and then we do run into an issue where we need a more immediate response.

BambooHR Reporting

Yes the reporting functions in BambooHR® have been well received by our team. Previously we were doing a lot of our HR functions manually. So we either weren't tracking this data or if we did it was stored in a number of different places which made doing any form of reporting hard. BambooHR® has strong reporting options that work well for our team

Alternatives Considered

Gusto and Zoho People

We chose BambooHR® as we generally found their UI and flow of key capabilities to be more straight forward, easy to understand and better designed. Compared to Zoho People we found BambooHR® to offer a more established and well rounded set of features that would suit us not only today but into the future.

Being able to have all of our HR management needs in one location. The ability to centrally manage all of our employee performance reviews has been beneficial as previously we were storing these in Google docs which wasn't the most secure approach. Also we couldn't easily report on HR metrics before, but BambooHR® has all the data now so its easy to create and view reports when we need them.
