Overall Satisfaction with Bitdefender GravityZone

Bitdefender GravityZone is used across the entire organization. We use it as our primary malware deterrent.
  • Cloud dashboard
  • Ease of deployment to new clients
  • Custom deployment options/policies
  • New features - ransomware vaccine, etc.
  • Difference between server/client license
  • Cost for NGOs
  • Ability to manage users/admins, particularly delete admins
  • We compared the cost to other products and found it to be competitive.
  • Easy to manage and coordinate scanning for a device group organized logically e.g. all computers at specific lunchtime.
  • We have thankfully not suffered any outages so far.
Bitdefender GravityZone had a smaller footprint compared to Symantec ATP and was as efficient in scans to Eset. The GravityZone console is more polished than Eset.
  • Ease of use, proactive (aggressive) scans and protection. Small footprint for updates and the entire product updates.
  • Restarts are a bit of a nuisance, but that is not specific to BitDefender so par for the course.
  • Management console works very well and provides a single point to consolidate roll out of new features as well as getting a quick or detailed snapshot of all the computers in the deployed networks.

Works well with distributed/mobile clients as reports/heartbeat are sent to cloud dashboard. But, the system quickly shifts to panic mode when it is not connected to the Internet. This can be alarming for end users. Some flexibility would be appreciated.

Deleting a computer from a group does not automatically delete it from all areas. It requires an extra step to delete permanently.
