Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud CRM

Blackbaud was an innovative product that was used within the advancement/development office at the post-secondary institution where I had worked at. Blackbaud was primarily used at this post-secondary institution to manage donations and fundraising. Donations and fundraising contributions were obtained and entered into the system, reconciled and charitable tax receipts were issued using Blackbaud. It addressed many issues by providing a means to efficiently track donations.

Cons

  • Can be difficult to use if you don't have experience - more user friendly
  • The reports and analytics are not easily customisable.
  • User/Customer support can be improved.
  • Increase in fundraising and donor confidence
  • Reduces time spent on manual processes
  • Provides meaningful analytics to help drive process improvements
Blackbaud is an excellent program that stacks up well with the competition. It provides post-secondary institutions and other not for profits a great way to track donations and donors, reconcile donations, print charitable tax receipts for donors, and provides a strong set of analytics and reports which can be used to enhance the fundraising processes.

Blackbaud was very well suited to track donations as well as tracking donor information as this information reduces the need for manual processes. In addition, the issuance of charitable tax receipts is a refreshing feature as it reduces manual workloads. It would be great if there was more functionality and the ability to integrate with other ERP systems.
