Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT

We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT in our organization to track donations, as well as using it as a database for donor information. We have used this software solution for a number of years and have increased our donations through its use. By using it, we are able to leverage the data within it to offer more personal asks for donors and prospect new donors almost like you would in CRM software.

We do not use it as much as we probably should. We have found that the user insights for wealth screening and next ask suggestions are average at best. We use reports that we can generate such as easily finding donors who are falling behind on pledge payments, or forecasting what our revenue numbers will be based on scheduled pledge and recurring payments. It would be nice if there were greater data intelligence insights such as more powerful forecasting methods without needing to perform them manually.

Courses are offered both synchronously and asynchronously for various subjects for your employees. I have taken a handful of them and have found them very insightful and helpful. They have helped in getting more out of their product and it helps that you can learn from others in the classes that you take learning what their practices are and how other organizations are doing things with BlackBaud's products.
I have not used other products like this before. I have used and created some SQL databases and ERPs, but have not used fundraising-specific software such as Raiser's Edge. Based on what I know from other products vaguely similar to this - databases and ERPs - this is very user friendly and easy to pick up for anyone, especially with their NXT webview offering.

Would you buy Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT again?

Yes

I have found that Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT is very versatile in its use-cases. We have it integrated with their other product - Financial Edge, which allows for auto data replication in each database. We have used it to cut down on double-entry of items between our development and finance office. Their product however, is not the easiest for new users to pick up on and start using. It helps that it is a typical SQL-based database, and that they have online trainings though.
