Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine
We use transaction matching, account reconciliations, certification and financial close. We are working to implement journals and FRA with variance. Our primary use case is transaction matching, which we use to match and reconcile client assets. We reconcile client cash and nearly 80 crypto coins.
Pros
- Transaction matching is amazing. BlackLine gives us the comfort of knowing that all of our client activity is in the system and matched/reconciled daily.
- Account reconciliations are the tie that brings everything together. This gives us the confidence that we are reporting accurate results.
Cons
- BlackLine could use improvement in their transaction matching demos. I think they undersell the functionality because the employees who host the demos are not experienced users in certain environments.
- BlackLine has streamlined our client asset reconciliations preventing losses and risk for the company.
Any time I have a question, BlackLine supports me by providing direct resources as well as connecting us with other clients with similar scenarios. They do not leave any questions or concerns unanswered.
BlackLine was far superior and was our choice above its competitors.
