Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We use it to manage our financial close process (tasks, reconciliations, a little bit of transaction matching). The tasks used to be managed in Excel but is now better tracked with dashboards, statuses, and past due items. For reconciliations, we used to manage this in a shared drive folder but it is now stored in BlackLine.

There is a customer success manager and a community forum but you have to seek these people for help
It has helped us accelerate our accounting close manual processes of tracking tasks and helped improve the speed/accuracy of our reconciliation process by automatically pulling in trial balances for us to compare against. We use the "Modern Accounting Playbook" which also includes transaction matching (we currently don't use this, it was a bit hard to implement and also our ERP system may cover this)
BlackLine seems more established, FloQast seems very user friendly with excel-based hashtags.

Better suited for companies moving away from Excel. Hard learning curve for companies that do not have financial systems dedicated people, and for teams that like to manage accounting schedules in Excel. Great for growing companies that involve multiple people in an accounting close and is outgrowing old checklist formats.
