Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

Currently using Task Management and FRA & Variance. I'm an approver and also a business admin.

Pros

  • Product Design and Layout
  • Customer Support
  • Introducing new technology

Cons

  • Control checks for business admin or system admin in task management. There is no alert or notification if due dates of parent/child tasks are in conflict.
  • Higher visibility to team's financial close status
  • Quicker access to comparative FS
Our project/account and customer success managers are always there to respond to inquiries or direct us to the right contact person or training module/material to address our inquiries.
We are on the early phase of implementation and for now, just being able to have all tasks in one place where tasks are audit-ready is amazing, saving us time pulling audit supporting documents in the future.
so far from BlackLine. BlackLine has waaaayyyy more features and functionality.

The Task product is perfect in managing my team's month-end and financial reporting tasks. It gives me a dashboard to show the status of our financial close. FRA & Variance is also a good product for us given that we are a multi-entity organization and BlackLine was able to support that.
