Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans

BlueJeans is used in my department for team meetings, calls with clients to train them on our product, and communicating via conference calls. I also use BlueJeans to record training demos. Our corporate team uses BlueJeans the most. BlueJeans is helpful in that our entire corporate team uses it for communication and is easy to access and user-friendly.
  • Quickly downloadable
  • Easy to use
  • Simple
  • Connection sometimes fails
  • Recording sometimes malfunctions
  • More face-to-face meetings
  • Easy access to talk with clients
  • Recording demos to send to clients
I have used Skype and Zoom. I don't recall really much about Zoom and Skype, outside of they seemed a bit more complicated to use. Skype annoys me actually, because the sign in box pops up EVERY TIME I open up my computer. I would really like it to just go away.
BlueJeans works well for people who have time to download it if they've never used it before. Sometimes for new users, it can take a bit of time to download and get the app up and running. I'd highly recommend downloading ahead of a meeting. The weblink to access BlueJeans sometimes is harder to use for people who have never used BlueJeans before. Make sure you're prepared if you're using it for the first time.

Using BlueJeans

Our corporate team uses BlueJeans for conference calls, video meetings, and training/demo calls.
None that I am aware of. It seems like my team and I worked together to get it set up, answer questions among each other about it, etc.
  • Demos
  • Training Calls
  • Conference Calls
  • Team Meetings
  • We have used it for demoing new products
  • Meetings across all employees
  • Updates on our products, etc.
  • Continue using for team calls, training, meetings
  • QBRs over call as opposed to in-person
  • Keeping distance from clients due to corona virus, will use more frequently for calls
It's easy to use, simple to download, and quick to open. There are times it seems like it is hard to download for less tech-savvy users, but overall it's nice to have a similar system across the board to use for our team internally and for meeting with clients over video.

Evaluating BlueJeans and Competitors

Yes - I don't recall entirely what product it was we used before, but it was just following a link to access screen share. It was nice for clients not to have to download anything, however, BlueJeans allows us to record and start up a meeting as opposed to just clicking the link and accessing a call. I like that we have the option to record calls as well.

  • Vendor Reputation
It seems as though BlueJeans was selected as it is used across the board already and people have had good luck with using it. For the most part, everyone has used it and many of our clients use it for calls as well. I am not sure about the price but I imagine it works well for my company!
I don't think there is anything else that would be done or changed in picking BlueJeans. It's definitely it a bit of a transition from clicking a link to access a call to having to download an app to use, and have clients download a small link to access BlueJeans, but overall it serves it's purpose and has been helpful to have!

BlueJeans Implementation

It didn't take long to learn how to use BlueJeans. There was no formal training when we rolled it out entirely to our team. Talking with my team and other coworkers helped a ton learning how to fully utilize BlueJeans and get the most out of it. Again, we were told the old system would expire, and to use BlueJeans moving forward. I don't remember formal trainings or implementation plan, but it was not necessary anyways :)
Change management was minimal - We were made aware that our contract with our past conference sharing vendor was ending and we would be fully using BlueJeans moving forward. We had previously used BlueJeans anyways for calls, so it wasn't too difficult to learn how to use. My team worked together to figure out how to use the screen share for demos and training calls.
  • Sharing the link to our BlueJeans account to clients to use
  • Being able to send a link to open the meeting, instead of requiring each client to download BlueJeans
  • Trying to help clients figure out how to use it

BlueJeans Support

I haven't used BlueJeans support, but I highly believe the support team would be helpful :)
Unfortunately, this is not applicable, as I have not used their Care team. However, I think this just goes to show that it is not necessary to have to reach out for help. BlueJeans has been incredibly easy to use.

Yes - I have dialed in using the conference call on my cell phone, it's super handy! I have also used it to dial in on a training call using my phone and can see what is happening. I am not sure if there is an actual BlueJeans app but I will be looking in to it, as I imagine it would be quite easy and helpful to use!
