Overall Satisfaction with BrightHR

Pros

  • Document management - ability to have read receipts
  • easy to use calendar
  • employee personnel management / profiles
  • blip

Cons

  • Performance reviews - currently only goals would be good to see actual review templates (although I know this is a tough area to build out)
  • Payroll - I know xero is in beta form so this will be coming, but as a charity we have a range of irregular working patterns like term time only and playworkers that require heavy admin
  • e-learning - a content creator function would be epic, but the ability to upload scorm files
  • Ability for our Senior Leaders to see from any location anywhere who is working, where are they working as we run multiple sites
  • Reduced our weekly admin time by over 50%
As a small charity the system is great, but as NED I use other software (workday, access etc) and so I know what the systems limitations are, in saying that I think its perfect for non profits and small businesses as a started platform.

BrightHR has been great for us as a small business/charity where cost is a big if not the biggest factor - being a charity is tough. This was such an upgrade from the excel spreadsheets for us

The team are proactive, having an advocacy team is just amazing and a great way to really understand their product roadmap and have input into useful features or feedback.
