Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
BrowserStack is helping us in regression testing for POS app builds every month. It has some good features like image injection helping us in achieving our goal. Main advantage of BrowserStack is we get real devices which we can access over cloud and it helps to reduce cost for buying new devices.
Pros
- Image injection
- Stability
- Devices with different IOS versions
Cons
- Multiple QR scanning
- Reporting
- Running regression on real device without managing device
- Positive - to reduce our regression time
- Positive - ROI - saved overall cost of devices and manual execution time
Before BrowserStack, we did POC and finalise BrowserStack as a solution for our use case. Prior to BrowserStack, we were doing regression manually every month which was taking one full sprint for one QA. Due to this, we were not able to focus on new feature testing or any other work as QA capacity was blocked one sprint monthly.
- App Automate
Integration of regression with Azure and running pipelines overnight gives results next day and helping us to take further actions. Interaction with CI tool is smooth and also it has different plugins which we are using for reporting in CI itself. Also, every year we need to test IOS upgrade compatibility where BrowserStack is providing us devices with beta IOS version and helping us to do our compatibility tests.
I haven't used any tool so I cannot rate any other tool. BrowserStack was the first tool we selected for our proof of concept and we liked it. We found some limitations and we reported those to BrowserStack and now they have added it in their roadmap to fix it. So overall, we made a good choice.

Using BrowserStack
10 - We are using BrowserStack Live, app automate tools across teams. The interesting thing about BrowserStack is we can use any Safari version for UI testing, which is a very challenging use case for us. To support these wide range of real devices makes BrowserStack very special and handy tool for us.
10 - We have community which are using BrowserStack tools for day to day testing. Not only functional testing but also automation regression. And whenever we face any challenge we are discussing that in our internal community first and if not answered then we are sending it to BrowserStack support for a solution.
- IOS upgrade (device availability with different IOS versions)
- Safari versions for UI testing
- Different IPADs for IOS apps testing
- IOS app regression through CI (Azure)
- Launching few IOS apps so for testing and regression
