Bynder DAM newish implementation
Overall Satisfaction with Bynder
At this time, the core use case is supporting out business web site and automating workflows withing creative services for image curation. We intend to expand the use to email and social media, and include final video assets. We expect to use collections to provide internal clients with choice of assets for both self-service and selection on projects.
Pros
- Tagging
- Asset loading
- CMS integration
- Easy to configure and set up
Cons
- High cost for SFMC integration
- High cost for external partner access
- + Single point of truth for image assets
- + Easy for web team to integrate image assets into page instances
- + Streamlined workflow for design team for derivatives
- Aprimo and Cloudinary
Also reviewed Optimzely and Adobe's solutions. As a leader I believe the products are somewhat commoditized inasmuch as they all perform the core features equally well. The decisions boiled down to which worked best to the satisfaction of our security, architecture, and network teams, and the look & feel preferences of our end user designers.
