Overall Satisfaction with Bynder

My company uses Bynder to store all of our digital assets from photography to, video, to logos and social media content. We experienced problems with lack of storage and accessibility for our sales reps before we discovered Bynder. Since then, it has been a great tool to use for keeping up with assets and allowing the whole team to use it easily.

Pros

  • Easily update files
  • Easily find assets
  • Can easily send assets to outside organizations and people

Cons

  • Easier ways to understand derivatives
  • Shorter taxonomy to load assets quicker without using mass-uploader
  • Easier ability to control user capabilities without having to request permissions settings from Bynder team
I would say 8 out of 10 because it is mostly user friendly as far as navigating and using the taxonomy filters to find what one is searching for. However, it is a little complex as well and there are many things you can do with the assets such as send them to others and make collections which some older folks might not understand as well.
My team chose Bynder as it is not my role to decide these things, but it was chosen so that we would be able to send large files and packages to outside organizations like vendors. It was also a matter of storage limitations with OneDrive as we were bound to run out of space as the organization grows. Bynder allowed us to not need to worry about storage.

Bynder is well suited for growing organizations that have many assets and need to send them to outside parties and large files that cannot send through emails. If your company is a smaller size and the assets can be managed in a different way, Bynder might not be as necessary.
