Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Camtasia to build instructional and training courses, as well as how-to videos. I use it for our internal teams and clients. Camtasia is easy to use and logical in structure, allowing a quicker start to product timing. It's a great tool for what I do.

Pros and Cons

Integrate audio narration directly using Camtasia.
Edit tracks within a project.
Export projects in multiple formats

There could be greater flexibility with animation.
More free assets would be nice.
Wish it was easier to hotlink an attachment.

Return on Investment

Quick turnaround with projects, allowing us to be agile in responding to needs.

Alternatives Considered

Articulate 360

Camtasia is a far more intuitive tool, but lacks the flexibility of Articulate.

Other Software Used

Likelihood to Recommend

Great for short how-to videos as well as longer training scenarios. Not as effective if you need or want to integrate engagement.
