Overall Satisfaction with CareerBuilder.com

We use CareerBuilder.com to source candidates & for market data. It mostly solves the problem of setting expectations for market compensation info & candidate availability in a given market.
  • Supply & Demand is amazing
  • Candidate search is a good tool
  • CareerBuilder.com doesn't have the same quantity of candidates that it used to
  • Higher-level candidates don't post their resumes on CareerBuilder.com like they did 5 - 10 years ago
  • The market data sets us apart as industry experts.
  • We have hired a few candidates found in the resume database, so that's good income for us.
CareerBuilder.com's resume database functions just like any other job board. I believe the market is shifting away from job boards. What sets it apart is its stellar data tools.
Tech support is very quick to reply, very knowledgeable on the products, & they know what's going on with the entire system. They also typically offer an ETA for resolution, which most job boards will not commit to.

CareerBuilder.com does great with its market data tools. It loads quickly now, where a year or 2 ago it was very bulky. I don't think it functions well as its own standalone ATS. Some serious improvement is needed on that side.
