Overall Satisfaction with Celonis

We are currently utilizing Celonis to map our reinsurance underwriting submission setup and binding process. Reinsurance Operations (my group) are the primary users of the tool but we leverage the information gleaned to help make process improvement decisions across all reinsurance underwriting teams within the organization. We actively use the Celonis process mapping tool to track key process metrics like days from the effective date to system integration, amount of rework, and capacity. These key metrics help identify areas within the end-to-end process that require additional attention.

  • Having a PSQL training course or cheat sheet would be helpful.
  • Having a clearer picture of the full suite of products and how they interact.
  • We were able to identify process bottlenecks that were impacting our ability to implement business on time.
  • It provided the ability to easily track key performance indicators that help ensure our processes are working as efficiently as possible.
We reviewed other process mapping tools that utilized process tracing techniques that we felt were too invasive to our end users. We liked the fact that Celonis's process mining tool was non-invasive by connecting directly to the system audit logs. Celonis also seemed to provide a more comprehensive suite of products.
We are very early in the digital transformation process at Sompo so we haven't been able to utilize the full suite of Celonis products. However, the process mining tool has started us down the right path. We are now able to visualize our submission setup and binding process with more clarity than before we implemented Celonis. The dashboards have provided the ability to slice and dice our processes to identify and understand route causes of bottlenecks and other process issues.

I find Celonis to be very useful for process mining and visualization of the end-to-end process. We have the process mining tool connected to our underwriting system and manually refresh the data after every renewal period. The dashboard connected to the process mining tool provides great insights into our processes and allows us to drill into problem areas. We find it beneficial for reviewing progress toward our key performance metrics. Our process has a significant number of variants so we don't really find the process explorer visual to be that useful. It will become more useful if / when the process becomes more standardized.
