Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
Dayforce HCM is our HRIS system used for HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits and Learning and Development. Our entire organization uses this system. It resolves the issue of having to use multiple systems to manage our employees. We utilize the Dayforce system so that our employee information crosses multiple platforms making the management of staff much simpler than using multiple systems.
Pros
- It is a cloud-based application. Being able to use the cloud prevents bogging down our own servers when all employees are accessing the system.
- Dayforce simplifies payroll by calculating daily as we go.
- Dayforce provides multiple modules that meet several business needs, including payroll, Recruiting, Benefits, and Learning and development.
Cons
- They still utilize Silverlight. This causes some browser compatibility issues.
- Hotfixes seem to occur frequently. These should not occur so often.
- System upgrades happen too often. This should be limited to maybe twice a year.
- Ceridian Dayforce has had a positive ROI because the overall cost is less than half of what we paid for our former HRIS provider.
- Ceridian Dayforce offers additional modules which are less expensive than purchasing an entirely new software package.
- Reducing the annual cost of our HRIS allowed us to purchase additional modules for compensation, as well as an LMS for our Learning and Development Department.
The old system was not as user-friendly, we had difficulty getting reports that were needed. Dayforce allows us to configure the system ourselves, whereas with ADP we had to contact them to request any changes made to the system. Also, reports were not available without submitting a request via email.
