Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We currently use Ceridian Dayforce to process our bi-weekly payroll. It is also used to store employee information such as promotions, demotions, transfers, new hires, terminations, home address, mailing address, phone number, emergency contact information, etc. We recently launched the employee self-service option which enables employees to update their own personal information, update direct deposit accounts, and print their own pay statements. Previously, all of these changes had to be done through paper forms. By turning on the self-service feature it has eliminated a lot of paperwork and filing. Everything is not accessible online.
- FLSA calculation
- Employee self-service
- Depending on where you are trying to navigate/task you are trying to accomplish you may need to use two different internet browsers. In most cases, you can use google chrome, but in some, you must use internet explorer.
- Compliance with FLSA calculations.
- Decreased the amount of time it takes to process payroll.
Garnishments are much easier to work with. The system knows how much it can take of disposable pay, especially when an employee has more than one. This helps eliminate the need for manual calculations.
Unfortunately, we are still using multiple systems. We recently went live with Dayforce at the start of 2019. In time we hope to reduce the number of systems we are using to just 1: Dayforce. At that time I feel the decision-making process will be much more streamlined because we won't have to check multiple systems for information.
Unfortunately, we are still using the 3rd party for our timekeeping. Because of this, we cannot see real-time pay data because the punches cannot be pulled from the other system and imported into Dayforce until the pay period is over, and we are ready to process. If we used Dayforce for timekeeping we would have live data and would be able to double check any changes immediately instead of waiting until the pay period is over. We are hoping to make that transition because it will streamline the entire payroll process. This would also help with vacation requests and balances by having everything in one system instead of trying to track in two separate systems.
