Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We are using payroll, benefits, HR, implementing on-boarding and want to implement recruiting. The entire organization is using the product. We are trying to integrate all personnel-related functions.
- I struggle to come up with even one thing that I think Dayforce does particularly well. I have more issues than I have praise for the product.
- The sales presenters sold us a "bill of goods" which have not been delivered upon. We would told that Dayforce could be configured to work in our environment. The reality is there are far too many limitations to what we want the product to do.
- Implementation was very painful and challenging process. During our implementation period Ceridian changed project managers twice. We had three different project managers during our implementation. This made implementation disjointed.
- Even now after being out of implementation for nearly a year we have trouble with customer support and with product support. PS personnel can spend many hours working on a change item or configuration issue only to not have the effort pay off with a working fix. We would have spent thousands of dollars on PS only to have to get someone other than the originally assigned consultant to work on the matter to fix it.
- So far in the 18 months we have been live on Dayforce I can't see where we have any positive return on our investment. Still too many things that don't work right from implementation and require support from Professional Services which costs more and more money. I remain hopeful that we will see some improvement in efficiencies but so far not yet.
At present, it appears that Dayforce Payroll does provide for compliance with state regulations. However, as the client, we have to do too much leg work to get set up properly with new states where we hire new employees. Seems to me Dayforce personnel would do more of the set up for us as a client service. Instead, we have to tell Dayforce what we need to have done when we open a new state for hiring employees.
This was the selling point that tipped the scales and led us to purchase Ceridian Dayforce. As noted earlier I can't say we have experienced an amazing positive ROI since going live. However, I appreciate having all employee data and related data in one system. I can also see that there may some synergies if we could transition to the timekeeping modules but we aren't there yet and I'm not sure when we will be.
