We have 4 affiliated companies within our production site. Each business has completely separate operations, pay practices, shift rotations and implementation dates. We use Dayforce HCM for payroll processing, onboarding and Time & Attendance. Ceridian Dayforce provides us with the flexibility required by ea. company.
The Mexichem Companies were operating completely separate for many years. When we transitioned to Dayforce Payroll, we are now sharing best practices and helping each other. While separate, we are now operating as a team! Our learning curve has been steep because of our separate implementations in Time & Attendance.

The true value in a single solution versus add on applications lies in compatibility and ease of use. Add on's are configured differently and may not "think" like the paired program. The user must understand the similarities and differences knowing where the data originates and lands.
This is not a problem if the user is present for the implementation. But, becoming a user post-implementation is a true learning experience.
