Overall Satisfaction with Checkout.com

Checkout.com is our main card acquirer for LiveScore Bet in multiple markets. Performance has been excellent - improving over the time we've been using them. We've had good success with trying out new technologies with Checkout.com as well - utilising their Risk Engine, Exemptions, Network Tokenisation, Hosted Payment pages etc. As a fully-licensed and responsible betting company, the choice of solid partners is critical to our own success and given the huge importance of Card Payments, the partnership with Checkout.com is particularly valuable.

  • Good use of new technologies like Network Tokens, Exemptions, Risk Management...
  • Friendly and helpful staff
  • Great, transparent communication of changes coming from the schemes
  • Custom reporting at times isn't great
  • Working with other acquirers through their gateway isn't generally possible
  • APM coverage is spotty
  • Slick user journeys, especially using their 'hosted fields' solution.
  • Simple pricing model has meant taking volumes away from other acquirers who seek to boggle
  • Time to market has been as little as a third of the time compared to our other acquirers thanks to their slick onboarding process.
Faster time to market through Checkout.com than any of our other acquirers, who we have also transacted with several years. This comes down to their onboarding team knowing what they're doing, being specific about what they need, and the account managers facilitating in between. It all comes down to execution - and they execute well. When things go wrong, they genuinely try and make things right, quickly.
We've found ourselves learning about upcoming scheme changes for our particular MCC far quicker through Checkout.com than through our other acquirers, who are also supposedly experts. We've had excellent support from the team.
Simple pricing, comparable (or better) performance, faster onboarding, friendly service, transparency.

We took a chance with Checkout.com when launching LiveScore Bet, as they didn't have a lot of experience in our market. It has been a rewarding journey so far as we have grown significantly with their help, with great technology and very fair pricing.

Launching in new territories would have been problematic without Checkout.com being so helpful and quick with turnarounds during the onboarding journeys.

Checkout.com do well when it comes to the 'name on the tin' - the cashier/checkout journeys are great. They need to improve on the payout side of the equation e.g. supporting ApplePay Payouts, and perhaps offering Open Banking journeys.
