The Cisco Catalyst 9100 Series Access Points are being used throughout our organization as the latest model of access points. We are using these in applications ranging from office and plant production environments to warehouse locations. This model of access points addresses our need for continuing to upgrade our infrastructure as old technology goes end of life.

We have rolled out the [Cisco] Catalyst 9100 Access Points as our previous models have come end of life/end of sale. We are more than pleased with the performance that the [Cisco] Catalyst 9100 Access Points have provided our locations and have not run into any issues during or after deployment.
The [Cisco] Catalyst 9100 Access Points have definitely changed the way things are able to be scaled within the Cisco Wireless Environment. They require that you move to the [Cisco] Catalyst 900 Series Wireless Controllers, which throws everything you knew about previous wireless controller configuration upside down, all in the name of scalability.
The implementation timeline of the Cisco Catalyst 9100 Series Access Points is the same as what we saw with previous Cisco models of access points. The command-line interface and configuration steps are very similar. We have had no bad experience and started seeing enhanced results as soon as they were put into production.
The Cisco Catalyst 9800-L Wireless Controller has allowed us to take advantage of the new Catalyst 9100 Access Points, ultimately leading to enhanced network coverage within our sites. The Cisco Catalyst 9800-L Wireless Controller does come with quite a learning curve, as it is a different beast than previous Cisco Wireless Controllers.
Within our ever-changing environment, we have found the [Cisco] Catalyst 9100 Access Points to be a great fit for all situations we have thrown in them. Our locations that have upgraded to the [Cisco] Catalyst 9100 Access Points have also been pleasantly surprised by the additional coverage they provide, compared to previous access point models.
