Overall Satisfaction with Cisco AnyConnect

We use this product for remote access where we have plenty of students and staff who are on campus and off campus. I use this product to allow them to connect to our VPN and then they are connected to campus to use the campus infrastructure.
  • Now when I connect to the client, it clearly tells me how the transaction happens. If it fails to work, I have very detailed information to analyze why it's not working. It works well. It has very detailed information again to say how it went well. So I can use this to understand whatever happened in the network. Other products don't have this easy feature. They have locks but it's very difficult. But this lock from Cisco is super, very easy to use and operate or manage, and troubleshoot. Everything is more comfortable than other products.
  • I would say I would need little more features on the product. Now there are some limitations to use this product actually. Currently, which I've been working with Cisco to have it, but it's not technically. It's a little bit of not possible for now. So there are slight features that needs to be improved. The GOO is fine, the user interface is fine. The connectivity stability is all fine, but I also need to make it a little more faster in terms of reconnecting. Reconnecting is slow then first connecting is pretty much good, but reconnection is a bit slow because of technical aspects there. So if Cisco can make that something there to make it much faster, it could help users.
Compared to other products that I have used, Cisco gives me more information and it is easy for me to understand what's happening from the application, which is Cisco AnyConnect, which other vendors don't. It's very hard for me if I have to work with other applications, I have to get support from the application owner vendor. But in Cisco, I myself can read through and get this thing. Now with that being very comfortable, I mean very, very useful. I would like to get to more detail in a more simplified way. There are plenty of things. It is also where there is something it gives me in a simplified way. This is what has happened that would help me in some cases. But always there is a scope for improvement in any product. I never rate any product to 10, even if it's better because there is always room for improvement. So I personally feel we can still make this better. It is a good product, but we can still make it better.
The purpose is very good. It does what it says. It maintains good connections. It maintains a very secure connection. That's what we need, very secure connections.
Because whenever I log the case with Cisco support, yes they have come back with valid technical data. So this is what has happened and we could fix it in this way. That support will detail what happened and how to get it overcome very quickly. That's what I like. The support level we get is really good for the product.

SpeakThere are many scenarios where the product is best. This is the question right here. Particularly when remote connecting, we could, if not this product, we have various other options in the market like open source within clients which we use. It's not very satisfactory. We also have other vendors, particularly Global Protect from Palo Alto. The application is very very poor. It does the connect, but applications is very poor in terms of interface, in terms of user accessing that application or managing that application on the laptop, I would say less sophisticated, but Cisco beats all these things from other vendors. I would say yes, usability is very good with Cisco.
