Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Umbrella
It's currently used for web filtering for endpoints. It fulfilled the requirement to filter using cloud based services instead of an on premise appliance. The scope was to provide security/filtering for 400 users.
Pros
- Blocks unwanted web pages using filtering policies
Cons
- Site blocking due to redirects from different SSL sites
- It needs an easier way to manage allowed sites
- It's created a bit more admin work on allowed sites that it blocks.
- It's been helpful on filtering out bad sites/phishing sites, etc.
- Cisco AnyConnect
- Cisco Umbrella
The main issue we went with Cisco Umbrella is to provide web security/filtering for VPN users when they're not on the network.
We've experienced more confidence in knowing that internet browsing is protected.
Cisco has more options in configuring monitoring/blocking.
