Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Meetings
At the Municipality of Guayaquil City, we use WebEx meetings across 5 departments (or directions, as we call them), in combination with Cisco Webex Boards. As we are a local Governmental entity, we mainly use WebEx to establish communication and collaborate with partners and providers, and even to provide us with technical support within the organization.
- Collaboration: The many possibilities to collaborate with work teams and individuals make Cisco WebEx a great tool. Sharing content, making collaboration meetings with integrated voice and video, and the integration with telephony and office tools are some of them.
- WebEx Board integration: Making presentations and interacting with them was never so easy. We can start meetings from our PC or mobile device and move it to our WebEx board.
- Ease of Connection: We can start a meeting from mobile devices, Cisco Jabber, Microsoft Office, PC, WebEx Board or via the web. You choose!
- When Connecting via web (from a browser, and only that way), the plugin load time is quite slow.
- Recording controls maybe could be simplified with one button only (I find the floating controls a little bit uncomfortable).
- Maybe the meeting controls (buttons) can be implemented so they can be easier (quicker) to access.
- Business efficiency: it makes us more time-effective at the time to have meetings.
- OPEX: no hardware needed.
Cisco Webex has great support, gives you quick responses, and follows up your case in a timely manner (just as Cisco TAC) until it has been solved. I only asked for support once, but it was a good experience. Cisco Webex is easy to manage, so there will be a few times you need to ask for it.
We use Webex Meetings with the Webex board S55 in four departments: Health, IT, Metropolitan Police, and Major's Office. Although we have 5 administrator accounts, we use them within these departments when any of our collaborators inside them require it. We are considering expanding Webex Use in combination with more Webex Board units across the Municipality.
- We have Cisco Unified Communications Manager, but we have not yet integrated it with cisco Webex. This is our next step.
- We successfully integrated webex meeting with Webex Board S55.
- Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and Microsoft Teams
Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams are tools that have been used for years. However, they have not been fully exploited. The integration of these tools with CUCM has not been possible, and the use of SFB has only been limited as an internal chat tool. Webex meetings, in conjunction with Webex Board, is our main collaboration tool.
