Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Cisco Webex Meetings across our entire organization as a WFH solution to bridge the gap for meetings but we also heavily used it before the COVID-19 pandemic. It allows me, my team, and my customers to still meet, virtually, and face to face with video.

Alternatives Considered

We are a partner with Cisco so we get better pricing than most. However, some of my customers will only use other platforms such as Zoom or GoToMeeting. I have all 4-5 major meetings providers loaded on my primary machine and bounce between all of them pretty well.

Support Rating

You can eventually resolve your issue but it's not as quick or responsive as I would prefer.

Reliability and Availability

I've only had one time over the past few years where Webex Meetings wasn't available and that was during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and is very understandable given the timing.

Usability

I don't have any issues using Webex Meetings but every once in a while, a new user will have an issue trying to figure it out. It seems mostly like a training issue though.

Likelihood to Recommend

One-on-one or one-to-many meetings work very well as you can see the handful of people that are in your meeting in a large display. That is more difficult to capture when you have 10+ users on a call and the 5x5 video squares make it difficult to get any useful video out of it. It's a little better if you're not sharing a document or screen sharing. However, if your main goal is to share a document or screen that is presented very well, quickly, it will have a little latency.
