Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare

We used Cloudflare for additional DNS and CDN purposes.

  • Content Delivery
  • Immediately delinking scam, phishing and spammer websites
  • None anymore. We stopped doing business with them due to protecting abusers.
  • No real impact as building our own CDN with a few low end servers paid off much better than our time with CF.
We selected them at the time based on the service offered and the need to distribute website content in different various locations. But in the end our in house solutions have worked out much better and using simple replication our data is sent out from seven geographical locations and works BETTER than anything CF had offered or currently does.

Cloudflare is a joke. Their services are some of the most abused that I know of in this field and Cloudflare repeatedly allows its network to be abused by scammers, phishing sites, and spammers and allows them to hide behind Cloudflare's systems. Even when blatant fraud is noted Cloudflare COULD cut that person's service off but instead just 'notifies the hosting provider with an email' then leaves the operation fully intact and will not for any reason remove those illegal operations. They in fact REFUSE to do it.

Even with the functionality of CF, I had constant issues with their services interfering with the normal operation of my site with caching and refusing to show updates to the site in a timely manner. I finally had to remove CF completely from my website operations and that was before I started seeing how steadfast they are in protecting the illegal and dirty operators.

Would be nice if they reviewed reports and delinked illegal operations but they REFUSE to do something so easy.
