Overall Satisfaction with Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare to mitigate risk, as a DNS provider, domain registrar and a Content Delivery Network. Those are the main services that we see no competitor offering compared to Cloudflare, their service is top of the line. All 200+ websites we maintain run through their DNS and other services.
Pros
- DNS checking upon transfers, easy DNS setup
- The best in class DNS config menu
- Risk mitigation and DDOS protection
- Cheap registrar for global TLD's
Cons
- Login speed – they use their own security during login, but I know for a fact that those can be implemented in a way that let's customers log in faster thay they do it themselves
- Sometimes I cannot find the DNS section in the menu, there are two similar views which get confused
- More country-level TLD's could be available
- No longer suffering from DDOS attacks
- Easy and quick setup
- Free or very cheap to use
I learned about cloudflare on Youtube, there are many tutorials and the onboarding is very easy with them. You start getting value from cloudflare very quickly, as the setup usually takes around 24 h.
I recommend you learn about it today, and start using it tomorrow. It will help your business in so many ways, that you wouldn't even expect.
